Mouse Gelsolin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Gelsolin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format and relies on a biotinylated anti-Gelsolin detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a yellow product whose intensity is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <34 ng/ml and an assay range of 78.1–5000 ng/ml. Spiking recovery averages across the sample types tested are 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–99%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum (n=5) ranging 74–107%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranging 79–108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) ranging 82–105% across the dilution series. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
