Description

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (GIP), a peptide also referred to as glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and incretin hormone. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Quantitative performance is characterised by a working range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <24.3 pg/ml. The colorimetric end-point is read on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm, with the full protocol taking 4h 30m. The kit contains a lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery testing in serum gave an average of 91% (range 80%-102%), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%-100%) and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80%-89%) across n=5 samples. Dilution linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types, supporting reliable quantification of mouse GIP.
