Mouse Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid A Receptor Alpha 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse GABA A Receptor alpha 2 (GABRA2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection via a biotinylated anti-GABRA2 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, and absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.051 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Storage of kit components is at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotinylated detection antibody solutions, wash and sample dilution buffers, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers.

Spike-and-recovery validation gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, yielding recoveries of 70–107%, 89–93%, 86–104% and 80–103% for serum (n=5); 95–100%, 85–110%, 81–99% and 90–102% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 77–104%, 88–95%, 94–104% and 80–107% for heparin plasma (n=5).
