Mouse Galectin 8 ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Galectin 8/Gal-8 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Galectin 8/Gal-8. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 8/Gal-8 Antibody is applied, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a coloured product whose intensity, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of Galectin 8/Gal-8 captured.

The kit has a standard range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml, with an assay time of 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Manufacturer-reported recovery data are: serum (n=5) range 80–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) range 81–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) range 80–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
