Mouse Galectin 7 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Galectin 7 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Galectin 7 pre-coated onto the microplate wells. Standards and test samples are added and bound by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 7 Antibody and then HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution.

The quantitative product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.049 ng/ml, and an assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric, measured by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Galectin 7 captured. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
