Mouse Galectin 6 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Galectin 6. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids, and shows reactivity with mouse samples.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips). An antibody specific for Galectin 6 is immobilized on the plate; standards and test samples bind to it. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 6 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow with the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm using a colorimetric microplate reader and the Galectin 6 concentration is calculated from the standard curve. The assay has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.034 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%).
