Mouse Galectin 4 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as part of its Assays and Kits range, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Galectin 4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform read on a colourmetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the working range is 0.156–10 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.059 ng/ml. Reported recovery averages 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5 across each matrix), with dilution linearity given from 1:2 to 1:16 for each sample type. The principle is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay in which a target-specific antibody is pre-immobilised on the plate; captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-target antibody, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the analyte concentration.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage temperatures specified between +4°C and −20°C depending on the component.
