Mouse Galectin 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Galectin 2. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids from mouse samples.

The assay employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Galectin 2 and formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells; after incubation, a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 2 Antibody binds the captured target, followed by addition of an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Galectin 2 captured, and concentration is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The reported product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.34 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery values include serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%) across n=5 per matrix, with linearity data provided at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
