Mouse Galectin 1 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Mouse Galectin 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Galectin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. It employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Galectin 1 is pre-coated onto a microplate, standards and samples are added, and captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Galectin 1 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader; the concentration of Galectin 1 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay is quantitative, colourimetric and runs on a pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips). The standard range is 0.781–50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.31 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery validation gave averages of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
