Mouse Free Fatty Acid Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse GPCR GPR43, also known as Free Fatty Acid Receptor 2, in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific to GPCR GPR43. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GPCR GPR43 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is then read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration calculated against a standard curve. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Recovery in serum (n=5) ranged from 80% to 102% (average 91%); in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% (average 90%); and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% (average 84%). Reagents supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
