Mouse Follistatin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Follistatin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with Follistatin antigen. During incubation, Follistatin present in samples or standards competes with the immobilized antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Follistatin antibody. Unbound antibody is removed by washing and an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate. The colour intensity developed is inversely proportional to Follistatin concentration, read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay operates over a range of 3.12-200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.95 ng/ml and is completed in 2 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, with consistent linearity observed across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
