From Antibodies.com, the Mouse FSH beta ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the quantitative determination of mouse FSH beta in serum, plasma or other biological fluids.
The assay uses a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with an antibody specific for FSH beta. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-FSH beta Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader is proportional to FSH beta concentration and is read against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is 1.49 ng/ml and the assay range is 3.12-200 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.
Recovery data are provided for serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%), along with linearity results at 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions across each sample type. Kit components include the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures between +4°C and -20°C as instructed.
