From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Flt3 Ligand/Flt3L in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and uses a biotinylated anti-Flt3 Ligand/Flt3L detection antibody with HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Following incubation and washing, an acidic stop solution produces a yellow colour whose intensity is proportional to the analyte concentration and is quantified by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

Reported performance includes an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.9 pg/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing across five samples each, serum averaged 91% (range 83-100%), EDTA plasma averaged 94% (range 91-98%), and heparin plasma averaged 94% (range 90-99%).
