Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 8, Androgen Induced ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 8, Androgen Induced (FGF8) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for FGF8 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate, standards and samples are added to the wells, and captured FGF8 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-FGF8 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of 6.6 pg/ml and a working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery values are: serum 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5); EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5); heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) is given as: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
