Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com, the Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 (KGF/FGF7) ELISA Kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse KGF/FGF7 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colourimetric detection read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

An antibody specific for KGF/FGF7 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-KGF/FGF7 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of KGF/FGF7 captured in each well and is read against a standard curve. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Sensitivity is reported as <34.55 pg/ml with a product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml. Reported recoveries in undiluted samples (n=5) were 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
