Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 4 (FGF4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for FGF4 pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and bound by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-FGF4 Antibody binds the captured FGF4; HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450nm using a microplate reader.

The quantitative assay has a standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.4 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips), read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery performance (n=5 per matrix) showed an average serum recovery of 91% (range 80%–102%), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%–100%), and heparin plasma 84% (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
