Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this assay is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 (FGF 23) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for FGF 23. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound FGF 23 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-FGF 23 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A blue-coloured product produced by TMB substrate catalysis turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and FGF 23 concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The assay has a stated product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 5.6 pg/ml, and is read on a colourmetric microplate reader using a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery averages reported are 91% for serum (n=5, range 83%-100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 90%-103%) and 94% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 90%-99%). Dilution linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
