Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, within their Assays and Kits range, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21). The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with read-out on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. A biotinylated anti-FGF21 detection antibody is combined with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Manufacturer-reported performance includes a product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <39.54 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each) is reported with ranges of 83–100% (average 91%), 90–103% (average 96%) and 90–99% (average 94%) respectively. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is reported within overall ranges of 82–108% (serum), 72–107% (EDTA plasma) and 84–108% (heparin plasma).
