Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 18 (FGF18) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate; FGF18 is captured by the immobilised antibody and detected with a Biotinylated Anti-FGF18 Antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, with colour intensity proportional to FGF18 concentration. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and quantified against the standard curve.

The standard range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <40.73 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported mean spike-and-recovery values are 91% in serum (n=5, range 83-100%), 96% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 90-103%) and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 89-102%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
