Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 1, Acidic (FGF1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for FGF1 is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added, and captured FGF1 is detected using a biotinylated anti-FGF1 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm on a colourimetric microplate reader. The assay is specific for Mouse and runs as a quantitative sandwich ELISA with a total assay time of 4h 30m.

The quantitative standard range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml and the reported sensitivity is <5.9 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance has been evaluated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80%-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81%-100%), and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the same three sample matrices.

Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
