Mouse Fibrinogen Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fibrinogen alpha Chain in plasma. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Fibrinogen alpha Chain. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the Fibrinogen alpha Chain present binds to the immobilised capture antibody.

Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Fibrinogen alpha Chain antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Fibrinogen alpha Chain captured in each well. Concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <8.58 ng/ml, an assay range of 31.2-2000 ng/ml and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Average recoveries across sample matrices are 91% (serum), 90% (EDTA plasma) and 84% (heparin plasma). Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
