Mouse Ferritin, Light Polypeptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Ferritin Light Chain in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The kit reacts with mouse samples and is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Ferritin Light Chain is captured by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated anti-Ferritin Light Chain detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate produces a coloured product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.050 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported mean recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
