The Antibodies.com ELISA kit quantifies Fatty Acid Transport Protein 5 (FATP5), a liver-enriched acyl-CoA synthetase encoded by Slc27a5, in mouse research samples. Built around matched capture and detection antibodies directed against the murine target, the 48T configuration supplies pre-coated microwell strips and all reagents required to run a standard curve in-house. Investigators studying hepatic lipid uptake, very-long-chain fatty acid activation, bile acid metabolism, or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease models rely on FATP5 readouts to track transporter dynamics in tissue homogenates and primary hepatocyte preparations.
Each kit contains a microwell strip plate sized for 48 determinations, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibration standards, sample and wash diluents, and TMB substrate. The protocol is straightforward for laboratories already running absorbance-based protein quantification: add standard or sample, incubate with detection reagent, develop color, and read at the appropriate wavelength. Suitable for cell lysates, tissue extracts, and other mouse-derived research specimens, the kit supports investigation of metabolic and hepatic biology for research use only, not diagnostic applications.
