Mouse Fatty Acid Synthase ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse Fatty Acid Synthase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm. A biotinylated anti-Fatty Acid Synthase detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate generate a yellow chromogen whose absorbance is proportional to the amount of target present in each well.

Reported sensitivity is <0.062 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the protocol runs in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing returned averages of 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (81%–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
