Mouse Factor Related Apoptosis ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Fas (Factor Related Apoptosis) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. It uses a pre-coated microplate and follows a sandwich (quantitative) immunoassay protocol with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Standards and test samples are added to antibody-coated wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Fas Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of Fas is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <10.2 pg/ml. Reported recovery values from spiked samples (n=5) are 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
