Mouse Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Excitatory Amino Acid Transporter 2 (EAAT2) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with a biotinylated anti-EAAT2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colour change read at 450 nm on a standard colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich immunoassay delivers a sensitivity of 0.039 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with the full protocol taking approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Typical recovery in serum samples averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 84% (80–89%, n=5). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated in serum (74–107%), EDTA plasma (79–108%) and heparin plasma (82–105%).
