Mouse Epoxide Hydrolase 4 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Epoxide Hydrolase 4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which a capture antibody specific for Epoxide Hydrolase 4 is immobilised; standards and test samples are added and the target protein is bound by the immobilised antibody.

After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Epoxide Hydrolase 4 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Epoxide Hydrolase 4 is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The stated product range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <27.2 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Reported recovery from spiked samples (n=5) is 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
