Mouse Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse ErbB2/HER2 (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for ErbB2/HER2 is pre-coated onto a microplate, standards and samples are added and bound by the immobilised antibody, and captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-ErbB2/HER2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added to visualise the HRP reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader with concentration calculated from the standard curve.

Quantitative performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.207 ng/ml. Detection is colourimetric and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Average recovery values (n=5) were 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Reactivity is restricted to mouse samples, and the kit should be stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and not used past its expiration date.
