Mouse Epidermal Growth Factor ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of mouse Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for EGF is pre-coated onto a microplate, and detection uses a biotinylated anti-EGF antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate, with the enzymatic reaction read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay delivers a measurable range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.3 pg/ml, and the full protocol is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as 80–102% in serum (n=5), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5), with linearity demonstrated across sample dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
