Mouse Enkephalin ELISA Kit

This competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Enkephalin (ENK) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate. During incubation, Enkephalin/ENK present in samples or standards competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Enkephalin/ENK Antibody, so that the amount of antibody retained on the plate is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration. An HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then used to generate a colourmetric signal, with absorbance measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <25.35 pg/ml, with an assay range of 93.8–6000 pg/ml and a total assay time of 2 hours 30 minutes. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5), values ranged from 80% to 102% in serum (average 91%), 81% to 100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80% to 89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 returned values across 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 82–105% for heparin plasma over the dilutions tested.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
