An antibody specific for EMILIN2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and detection is achieved with a Biotinylated Anti-EMILIN2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a sensitivity of 29 pg/ml and a quantitative range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.
