Mouse Dual Specificity Phosphatase 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse MKP-1 (Dual Specificity Phosphatase 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The kit uses an antibody specific for MKP-1 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate, with detection via a Biotinylated Anti-MKP-1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <13.2 pg/ml and an assay range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery values averaged 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% in serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% in heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
