Mouse DNA Methyltransferase 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Dnmt1 (DNA Methyltransferase 1) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay has a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml and a working range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. It is performed on a pre-coated microplate with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The kit is reactive with mouse samples only.

The procedure uses a sandwich immunoassay format: a capture antibody specific for Dnmt1 is pre-coated on the plate, standards and samples are added, and captured Dnmt1 is detected with a biotinylated anti-Dnmt1 antibody, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution; the reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported average recovery values (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity data for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma are also provided in the manufacturer documentation. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
