Mouse Dkk-1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Dkk-1 in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The kit is based on the quantitative sandwich ELISA technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse Dkk-1 is immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by addition of a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for Dkk-1, with streptavidin-HRP added in a second incubation. After washing, substrate solution reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of Dkk-1 bound; the optical density is measured using a microplate reader.

The assay is colorimetric and quantitative, with a reported sensitivity of 3.14 pg/ml and an assay range of 93.75–6000 pg/ml. The kit can assay both native and recombinant mouse Dkk-1 and has shown no significant cross-reactivity. Average recovery from serum samples is reported at 100%. Components are stored at +4°C and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
