Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CD167a/DDR1 (Discoidin Domain Receptor Family, Member 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by an immobilised antibody specific for CD167a/DDR1. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-CD167a/DDR1 antibody binds the captured target, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate solution is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction; the product is blue and turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CD167a/DDR1 in each well, and the concentration is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Performance characteristics include a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.047 ng/ml, and a total assay time of approximately 4h 30m. Reported recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are provided. Kit contents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
