Mouse Diazepam Binding Inhibitor ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse DBI (Diazepam Binding Inhibitor) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate: standards and test samples are added and DBI is captured by an immobilised specific antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-DBI Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of DBI captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Reported performance figures include a product range of 1.4-90 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.3 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Average recovery values, evaluated across five replicates, are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
