Mouse Defensin Alpha 5, Paneth Cell Specific ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse alpha Defensin 5 (Defensin Alpha 5, Paneth Cell Specific) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Supplied by Antibodies.com, the kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <12.8 pg/ml and the assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery has been demonstrated in serum (80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%), each assessed with n=5 samples. Linearity has been evaluated at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three matrices. The standard curve is generated from a 1:2 dilution series of the lyophilized standard, beginning from a 2000 pg/ml stock; Sample Dilution Buffer serves as the zero standard.

Components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, two vials of lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A (120 µl) and Detection Solution B (120 µl), Wash Buffer 30X (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers.
