Mouse Defensin Alpha 1, Neutrophil ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse alpha Defensin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilized antibody specific for alpha Defensin 1, and detection is carried out with a Biotinylated Anti-alpha Defensin 1 Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported sensitivity is <0.56 ng/ml and the assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. According to the manufacturer, kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validation data provided by the manufacturer reports average recoveries in serum (n=5) of 80%–102% (mean 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) of 81%–100% (mean 90%) and in heparin plasma (n=5) of 80%–89% (mean 84%), with dilution linearity data across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.
