Mouse Cytochrome P450 11B1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cytochrome P450 11B1 (CYP11B1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate bearing an immobilised antibody specific for CYP11B1, followed by a biotinylated anti-CYP11B1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate, stopped with an acidic solution, and read as optical density at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The assay has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml. In validation, average recovery was 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
