Mouse Cytochrome C, Somatic ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cytochrome C, Somatic in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. Reactivity is specific to mouse samples. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Sensitivity is <0.058 ng/ml and the standard curve spans 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The immunoassay format uses a pre-coated capture antibody specific for Cytochrome C; standards and samples are added, and captured Cytochrome C is detected with a biotinylated anti-Cytochrome C antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance at 450 nm proportional to Cytochrome C concentration in each well.

Validation data (n=5) show spike-and-recovery of 80–102% in serum (average 91%), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Linearity of dilution (n=5) across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. The kit is suitable for cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernates.
