Mouse Cyclin Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 1A ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cyclin Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 1A (p21) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-p21 antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-p21 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin, and visualised using a TMB substrate that turns yellow upon addition of the stop solution; absorbance is then read against a standard curve to calculate p21 concentration. The quantitative working range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.066 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Reported spike-and-recovery was an average of 91% in serum (range 83-100%, n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (90-98%, n=5) and 95% in heparin plasma (89-102%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions spanned 79-110% in serum, 73-109% in EDTA plasma and 77-110% in heparin plasma.
