Mouse CXCL1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com and intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CXCL1 in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The kit applies a quantitative sandwich immunoassay format in which a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse CXCL1 is immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells and any CXCL1 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing away unbound substances, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for CXCL1 is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP. Substrate solution then reacts with HRP and colour develops in proportion to the amount of CXCL1 bound; the reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured with a microplate reader.

The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can be used to assay both native and recombinant mouse CXCL1. It has a stated product range of 15.63 – 1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 0.47 pg/ml, with an average recovery of 98% from serum samples. The assay is read on a microplate platform with colorimetric detection, and the kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
