Mouse Crystallin Alpha B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse alpha B Crystallin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for alpha B Crystallin pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed sequentially by a biotinylated anti-alpha B Crystallin antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reactivity is mouse. Recovery was assessed with average values of 91% in serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
