Mouse Creatine Kinase, Muscle ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme immunoassay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Creatine Kinase MM in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for Creatine Kinase MM immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Creatine Kinase MM Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is generated with a TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The assay has a quantitative product range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.55 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery in undiluted samples (n=5) was 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity across the same sample types was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
