Mouse Corticosteroid Binding Globulin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Cortisol Binding Globulin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate: standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by washing and incubation with Biotinylated Anti-Cortisol Binding Globulin Antibody, then HRP-Avidin conjugate. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the Cortisol Binding Globulin concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 2.47 ng/ml, an assay range of 6.25-400 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80-102%, n=5); in EDTA plasma, 90% (range 81-100%, n=5); in heparin plasma, 84% (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5).
