Mouse Complement Factor D ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Factor D/CFD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Factor D/CFD, followed by detection with a biotinylated anti-Factor D/CFD antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The product range is 46.8-3000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 15.55 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Average recovery (n=5) was 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.
