Mouse Complement Component 5a ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Complement C5a in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format with a biotinylated anti-Complement C5a detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard curve covers 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <27 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, cell lysates, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates. Manufacturer-reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (n=5, range 83-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 90-99%), and 96% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 91-101%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.

Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
