Mouse Complement Component 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Complement C5 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with standards and samples added to wells containing an immobilized Complement C5-specific antibody. Captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-Complement C5 antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with signal developed via TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Sample recovery data are provided across dilution series from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recoveries of 91% (serum), 90% (EDTA plasma) and 84% (heparin plasma), each at n=5.
