Mouse Collagen Type X ELISA Kit

Sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Collagen X in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with antibodies specific for Collagen X. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Collagen X Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of Collagen X is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.104 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery values are reported for serum (range 83-100%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 90-103%, average 96%) and heparin plasma (range 89-102%, average 95%). Linearity has been assessed across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
