Mouse Collagen Type IV Alpha 1 ELISA Kit

The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Quantification relies on a biotinylated anti-Collagen IV alpha 1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate generating a yellow colour after the addition of acidic stop solution. The standard assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Average recovery values are 91% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, with linearity data reported across dilutions up to 1:16 in each sample type.
